About the Seminar

Current MEMS and micro sensors market stands at 8 billion Dollars and projected to grow at 40% annually. The future growth markets include energy harvesting, automotive, RF and bio-medical domains in addition to the already existing products such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, pressure sensors, ink jet printers and others.  In India the activity in MEMS is more than a decade old and currently many groups have been actively working towards the development of a variety of micro devices. The interface between prototype development and commercialization presents a critical bottleneck that needs to be addressed by all concerned.

The theme of the current conference thus is to bridge this gap by providing a platform to interface with the MEMS fraternity of technocrats, engineers, vendors and foundry folks who can facilitates the exchange of design ideas closer to the realization of a marketable product.

The organizers of the conference have technical expertise of international repute and possess a strong link to the industrial community both in India as well as globally. The organizers have established foundry contacts outside India leading to a timely realization of the devices in the fields of Agriculture, Education, Energy Harvesting, Automotive and Strategic applications. The organizers are currently on the verge of realizing tangible MEMS devices such as RF MEMS switch, tunable capacitor, phase shifter, filter, soil quality monitoring sensor, transformer oil quality sensor, micro power devices and hydrogen sensor.
